Bereavement counseling at Hospice of Lenawee is tailored to each individual's unique experience with grief. For adults, it may involve one-on-one sessions with a trained counselor who provides a safe space to express emotions, explore coping strategies, and work through the many dimensions of loss. For youth, our Kaleidoscope Program offers individual counseling, support groups, and additional resources.
In addition, we host support groups, educational seminars, and events that provide opportunities to learn, connect, and grow alongside others who understand what you are going through.
Grief can feel isolating, and many people wonder whether seeking professional support will truly make a difference. The truth is that having a compassionate, experienced guide during one of life's most challenging experiences can bring clarity, comfort, and a renewed sense of hope.
Bereavement counseling does not erase the pain of loss, but it can help you develop the tools and understanding needed to move forward while keeping the memory of your loved one close. Whether you attend individual sessions or join a support group, taking that first step is an act of courage that many find deeply worthwhile.
